What if their “memory” is an AI model, one that keeps traces of every project, every dataset, and every insight across multiple clients?

This is the new frontier of cross-information contamination, the digital equivalent of intellectual property bleeds between customers, driven not by malice, but by the complex and often opaque way modern AI systems store and reuse data.

As AI becomes woven into supplier analytics, process optimization, and consulting work, leaders in MedTech and manufacturing must start asking new questions:

  • How does my supplier’s AI handle my data?

  • And what happens when regulators start asking the same questions?

Forward-thinking companies are now:

  • Developing AI Supplier Codes of Conduct.

  • Requiring model-specific documentation (akin to software validation).

  • Including AI audits in annual supplier reviews.

In regulated industries, this is not optional for long.

  5. Building your own Responsible AI policy, not just for your internal teams, but for your entire supply chain.

The companies that address these questions now will be the ones regulators and partners trust later.
